No club has ever liked or shared my DD's posts, phoned college coaches, sat her down to disguss a development plan, lifted her with praise, encouraged, called to check in, or mentored her training plan leading up to her first college fitness test. Our loyalty lies with coaches!💯
Right or wrong, others will always form opinions of you. Don’t waste your time trying to prove people wrong. Show your true self & let people take you at face value. If they don’t, it’s their loss & you don’t need them in your life. Just be yourself. Who you are is always enough!
Jay coached both of my youngest kids at the same time, they were U10 and U8. He is such a fantastic coach and person!🥰
[They each had a cookie just before this photo...she couldn't wait and shoved the entire thing in her mouth.]
Congratulations to Jay Lockhart on being promoted to Girls Pre-ECNL Director ⚽️
"We are excited to have a driven and knowledgeable talent take the reins of our Girls Pre-ECNL Program."

Football is far more than the sum of its technical parts.
When you embrace football as a game of finding and exploiting space, everything changes. Technical precision is critically important, no doubt. But it is not enough.
To find space, a player must search for it.
To exploit space, a player must instantly recognize patterns and proceed.
Angles, distance, timing, lines, situation and so on. Such rich and intriguing parts, no?
If you believe that football is indeed the sum of its technical parts, then carry on with the line drills. Carry on hoping that kicking a ball is the same as playing with purpose.
If you believe that football is so much more, welcome to #TOVO.
Attitude is one of the most important characteristics of a successful team. Negative attitudes can lead to setback after setback. Coaches must adapt their environment/culture/discipline to the players they have in order to produce a team of positivity. Negativity kills success!
💯
Tons of players want to win, but only a few are willing to do the little things. Play together as a team, this is what winning teams do.🤝

Coaching requires holding your most talented players accountable when their actions negatively affect the team.
In preparation for the 2008 Olympics, Kobe Bryant, the Captain of the USA Basketball Team, started to play in a manner that was hurting the group.
LeBron James and Dwayne Wade looked at their Head Coach, Coach K, and asked him what he would do about it.
Coach K said, “I’ll take care of it.”
He didn’t want to confront the legendary superstar, but he knew it was necessary.
This is how he handled it…
