.@AndersonCooper's willingness to be open about his own struggles, and deeply sensitive to those of others whose stories he shares, is an extraordinary gift to all who are faced with heartache and loss.
You are not alone.
@maffygirl That must have been a very moving talk Mary-Ann. So much benefit to the world but so much cost to his family. I remember using reusable LMAs first in London in the late 80s with that new drug propofol!
12 weeks to build 1kg muscle, 7 days in hospital to lose 1 kg muscle. Exercise and nutrition throughout whole perioperative period is so important. Prof Bernhard Riedel #prehabForum24
Devon has lost the scone wars.
Basically everywhere in Britain uses the 'Cornish method' (i.e. jam first). Even in Devon itself, only 49% use the 'Devon method' (i.e. cream first), while 46% go jam first

Loving the @amandashalala energy and expertise on @abcnews each night. Her enthusiastic commentary at the @Olympics is a lovely antidote to the usual negativity.
@On_the_Downlow Thanks Amanda. Another long lost skill. My handwriting was terrible as a child so my teacher made me use slope cards to improve. Probably lost in the mists of time…
Came across my logbook from first Anaesthetic SHO days in London. What a blast from the past! So much change since then.
Days doing whole cases holding a mask (M)
Doing whole lists on my own as an SHO😱
Different ventilator in every OT

@OrthopodReg@SCRBS_UK It’s weird that last shift. Also weird is first shift as a consultant. I had 2 ruptured AAAs in my first one. Thought, “better call the boss”…looked around and thought “F***, that’s me”.
let's about talk about my favorite part of the Olympics, one of the things that that originally got me into art and graphic design as a child: pictograms. the first I can remember are from Seoul 88. you might recall these.
