@UnbelievableFE@profntwright How about a followup episode where an American Christian who is a Democrat answers the same questions? Would love to hear both sides. That being said, Tom’s insight is probably the most valuable, precisely because he isn’t American. Party affiliations blur our vision so badly.
Just learned the US let in 0 refugees in Oct. Zero. I am heartbroken. I’m praying for a miracle - for a change of heart for this administration - that truth, justice, and love would prevail instead of fear and lies about the refugee program. How far we have fallen as a nation.
The US is resettling far less than half of 1% of the world’s refugees at a time when we’re seeing the world’s worst displacement crisis since World War II.
We can and should do more.

So proud of the young people at the #ClimateStrike worldwide today! Proud of you for letting your voice be heard, for caring about our planet, and for leading the way.
For over 40 years we have had the privilege of helping immigrants and refugees find hope and rebuild their lives in the U.S. We're excited to introduce you to a few of them.

It's a matter of leaving everything you know, in hopes of living a better, safer life,
but the possibility of being denied safety is a reality for many refugee and immigrant families seeking a stable future.

Any “Christ” that can be invoked in support of white nationalism is a false Christ of the highest, most hellish order. An anti-Christ. A wholly-opposite christ. No such christ is the Christ Jesus of Scripture who taught His followers a love that sacrifices life & limb for others.
@plattdavid So thankful for your thoughtful, humble, and Biblical approach to this situation. We need more Christian leaders like you who put the Bible and people before politics. The prayer and letter were refreshing and bring me hope. Praying for you and your ministry!
I like to think I’m not a stereotypical millenial. Then Wait Wait... Don’t Tell Me makes newspaper jokes and I have no idea what they are talking about.
Some days the news just makes me sad. People are horrible sometimes and it feels hopeless. But then I remember this country and this earth isn’t my home. My home is with God, and that gives me the strength to have hope, to keep doing good in the world, to love all people.
That awkward moment when you are a spam caller and you forget to type in all the digits to your spoofed number. Got one ring today from a 9 digit number. You were almost there, fraudster!
So we have legislation defining exactly what counts as ketchup, but we don’t have any laws to define what counts as a national emergency? #misplacedpriorities
@TheFaithAngle so thankful for what you are doing! Keep having good conversations. It’s encouraging to know I’m not alone in my viewpoints on faith and politics, and it is helpful to hear from those who I don’t agree with to learn about their views.
The BBC news podcast described the new Avengers movie as “Superheroes... try to save the universe from a powerful purple alien.” Now I have mental images of Thor fighting the cute and fuzzy one-eyed, one-horned flying purple people eater from an elementary school video.
