@RealOlaudah To be clear. 2nd child of my mother, Doris.
To her, the credit and recognition should be directed. Her guidance, unconditional love and support are the bedrock of my life path.

Indian Residential School Denialists: “Dig up the graves! Show us the bodies!”
Those same people, when we plead to search the landfill, to bring our sisters’ remains home, plead for justice: “It’s too expensive! Too tedious! Too humanizing!”

Crown-Indigenous Relations Minister Marc Miller had this to say about Manitoba’s decision not to search a landfill for the remains of two slain Indigenous women:
We have to try to bring their loved ones home — Heather Stefanson made a serious mistake in ruling out any landfill search. If cost is the concern for some, let’s work with the families to consider options other than doing absolutely nothing.
I am so grateful that my family not only shows me the way, but welcomes community and young ones in, always.
My grandparents were so proud to welcome a group of Michif “youngsters” to camp in their yard and to show them “the ropes” this weekend.
An incredible weekend on the land with michif kin in St.Laurent. It is powerful to see and be amongst young people grounding ourselves in our knowledge and traditions.
Maarsii James Lavallée for getting us together & @CdnRoots Youth Empowerment Grant for making this possible.
