Wolff on George Russell:
"We just need to keep going. This is a long championship. Last year everyone said it was Piastri's, then it swung.
"Montreal was a drama because we let him down and that was a possible 25 points but it's a long championship."
–– about the serve penalty thing
"We were not completely ready to have him in. We had a bit of confusion ourselves on the strategy, then he came in and we didn't hold him for five seconds.
"We missed out on a P3 or P4, it's a shame."
People like this make me question whether they actually watch the sport. Ferrari just has the better car atm. Hating Lando can't possibly still be trendy. If Leclerc can't do it in his car now, he certainly wouldn't be able to do it in the current MCL40.
@phi63x I agree, this sport is a lot. It is normal to lose confidence and I don't think he's there yet, but I worry it could become detrimental long term. Based on how he talks about the car, there has to be more to it. Toto did say today that the car just wasn't that good
I refuse to talk negatively about George's situation, however, something big needs to happen, especially for the coming European dates. Missing out on the save bet, Canada, was a huge loss already. There is no more room for mechanical failures or a lack of confidence.
