@stelank05 i wouldn’t expect it to be a full retest, probably just a medical exam and a brief ride along to assess capability. and tbh i don’t know much about the backlog since it’s been years since i had my test but apparently the work they’ve done to remove bots has helped?

see i don’t understand this because every single person i know has a personal experience with someone elderly who shouldn’t be driving anymore. i don’t see why this is an issue for people who feel themselves capable to continue driving. if you are capable you will pass.

I’ve just written to my MP about Burnham’s plans for over 70’s to take a driving test every 3 years. I am totally incensed about it on so many levels.

@SportscarJoe possibly. maybe just panicked on seeing the SOS button hit and cut everything to be absolutely safe. rather a few moments of silence then accidentally showing or hearing something awful

@SportscarJoe yeah cutting visuals either completely or to a seperate shot is normal but the insant cut from commentary made it extra spooky. they returned to comms a few minutes later but it was a scary moment. genuinely can’t recall them ever doing that before

Update: Both driver and co-driver were able to get out of the car unassisted. They are both conscious and generally OK, and will be transported to hospital for further checks.
