ਏਨੀਆਂ ਗੰਭੀਰ ਸਥਿਤੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੀ ਵਿਧਾਨ ਸਭਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਾਵਾਂ ਰੌਲੀ ਪਾਈ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ। ਕੀ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਬਾਰਡਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬੰਦ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਤੇ ਅੱਤਿਆਚਾਰ ਕਰਨ ਬਾਰੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੀ ਵਿਧਾਨ ਸਭਾ ਨੂੰ ਚਰਚਾ ਕਰ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦੀ ਤਾਨਾਸ਼ਾਹੀ ਖਿਲਾਫ਼ ਨਹੀਂ ਡਟਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ?

ਇਹ ਸਭ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਹੋ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਅਸੀਂ ਚੁਣੇ ਨੁਮਾਇੰਦਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਸਵਾਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ।

Shaheed farmer Shubhkaran Singh will be remembered and tributes will be paid by thousands of people from Kerala today.

According to multiple eyewitness accounts, Shubhkaran was shot dead by Haryana police when farmers were peacefully protesting at Shambhu border for Minimum Support Price (MSP).

Farming is 1% dependent on seeds, 2% on fertilizers, 3% on pesticides, 94% on weather, and if you are 0.00001% lucky, you’ll be able to harvest crop after 6 months of hardship.
Yet, keyboard warriors sitting in air-conditioned offices receiving assured salaries are labeling farmers as terrorists just because they are asking for a 'MINIMUM Support Price'.

Regarding Haryana Police saying they'll "cancel passports and visas of protesting farmers"

Two days ago, DSP Ambala said in a press conference that the Haryana Police was initiating steps to "cancel passports and visas of protesting farmers."

It is ridiculous because there's no provision in the law which allows the police to "cancel/impound passports" arbitrarily without due process. Moreover, the police has no powers to bypass the Ministry of External Affairs and write to foreign Embassies to "cancel visas" especially since grant of visas is not an issue within the power of Indian authorities.

I've sent a D.O. Letter to SP @AmbalaPolice seeking further information on this illegal and arbitrary action being taken against protesting farmers.

Haryana Police lately seems to be thinking that they're above the law and due process when it comes to farmers.

It's time they were made accountable.

.@nitin_gadkari is a rare minister in the @narendramodi government who has the ability and strength to speak the truth, especially about how farming is under severe distress due to poor policies. The rest of the lot is busy suggesting to Modi how to cancel passports to harass farmers, attack farmers to intimidate them, and run venomous campaigns to vilify farmers.

After taking a step back on attaching properties of protestors, Haryana Police has now come up with another unconstitutional threat to protesting farmers. Unless you are from @BJP4India & burning busses or govt digging up roads and firing at protestors and causing road blocks, you will be identified and your passports and visas will be revoked.

Perhaps they already know this will not stand in the court but instigating fear & misusing power is their best forte.

70% farmers in India have land less than 1 acre.
In last 50 years, 31% left farming and became farm labourers. They must have been fed up of their "riches" of ₹27 avg daily income.

And the average "nationalist" stung by farmer phobia keeps asking for taxes, all while dealing in cash payments, taking GST inputs and rebates on taxes.

What a bunch of losers.

FIR has been registered against 'unknown individuals' in farmer Shubhkaran Singh’s murder case. As per FIR, peacefully protesting farmers were attacked by Haryana police with tear gas shells & how Shubhkaran was shot while returning back to his trolley.

According to eyewitnesses, Shubhkaran died from bullets fired by Haryana Police. So why FIR against ‘unknowns’ @BhagwantMann @DGPPunjabPolice @PunjabPoliceInd ?

Why not explicitly mention @police_haryana @anilvijminister, @DGPHaryana, @mlkhattar as they are directly responsible for actions of forces deployed at Shambhu & Khanauri borders?
