In Nolan’s The Odyssey, Odysseus spends only hours with Circe.
In the myth, he spends a year with her, they even have a child together, and eventually that child kills Odysseus.

The Supergirl box office may have fumbled, but streaming is about to get a nice little boost.
Everyone’s suddenly asking, “Wait… Supergirl was already out?”🫠
I’d always thought my son was unusually observant.
He noticed when I got a haircut, remembered which cereal was on the top shelf, and somehow knew exactly which checkout line would move the fastest.
What I didn’t realize was that he was also collecting every sentence that came out of my mouth.
That became painfully obvious one Saturday morning.
The supermarket was packed. Trolleys everywhere, kids crying, someone blocking the pasta aisle while comparing labels.
As we turned the corner, an elderly man reached for a jar of pasta sauce and accidentally knocked two more onto the floor.
They didn’t break, but they rolled in opposite directions.
Without missing a beat, my four-year-old pointed at him and announced, loud enough for half the aisle to hear,
“That’s what happens when you rush. Dad says people who don’t slow down always make more work for themselves.”
The aisle went silent.
The man looked at me.
I looked at my son.
My son smiled proudly, convinced he’d just shared valuable life advice.
To my surprise, the man chuckled.
“You know what?” he said. “Your dad’s probably right.”
Everyone laughed, including me—mostly because the alternative was dying of embarrassment.
On the drive home, my son asked, “Did I help him?”
I smiled.
“You did… but maybe next time, let people figure it out themselves.”
That day taught me something I hadn’t expected.
Kids don’t just copy our words.
They borrow our worldview.
And they return it when we least expect it.
