Two years ago, I made a foolish promise to recap the latest Children of the Corn when it became available to me (and update my ranking of the series overall). Here is me making good on that #GirlBoss promise: https://t.co/ja7LXEVMFd

I watched Last Shift as an adult, and was so freaked out I had to pause the movie multiple times to calm down. It was a delight to write about it for Certified Forgotten and discuss why I find its "everything but the kitchen sink" scares and workplace setting so effective
Today! @tracyj314 examines 'Last Shift' as a commentary on the abuse we're willing to take to keep our jobs.
"We will suffer indignities and challenges to our well-being to keep our jobs—especially if we see that job as a core element of who we are."

Happy Trans Day of Visibility! We stand with the trans community in the face of hatred. Trans right are human rights, plain and simple. 🏳️⚧️
We may just be a horror site, but our voices still matter in helping combat hate.
In the most perfect timing I'll probably experience in my life, just as I went to pose in front of this photo op Ghostface showed up! Thanks @AlamoChicago ! #Scream6 once again exceeded my expectations and is another solid entry to the Scream franchise
I'll stop there, but this is definitely a great collection for anyone who loves horror or wants to have a better understanding of the profound, deeply personal, and deeply positive impact these films can have on people.
I wrote an essay in Hear Us Scream: The Voices of Horror Volume II about my late sister who got me into horror movies as well as the muddled line between final girls and non-final girls, and I want to share some quotes & essays from the collection that really knocked my socks off
In "Being Haunted", Caitlin Marceau captures the reason so many of us are drawn to horror. Marceau writes, "I'd finally found a way of being able to take my trauma and create something positive out of it. Horror gave me a safe space to explore and unpack my fears."

Writing like Logan-Ashley Kisner's "Give Me Back My Hand: The Transgender Evil Dead" is the reason I love horror and film analysis, and it is worth the price tag of the collection alone.
