Years have been spent making sacrifices so that you can live fully and freely. May you begin to reap the benefits of your hard work. May you start to experience that freedom you’ve been setting yourself up for.
It’s not about becoming an ideal version of yourself. It’s about accepting and loving the version of you right now + committing to actions & behaviours that optimize your wellbeing.
When you’re no longer here in your physical body, people will remember how you treated them, your energy, the words you used, what you did to be in service of others. This is why it’s important to live intentionally.
Don’t be so quick to dismiss your feelings just because you think they’re unwarranted. You’re not silly for how you feel. Something triggered you and that’s okay. You can acknowledge how you feel and then shift your perspective.
You can’t assume that people see things the same way as you. It may be obvious to you but not for others. Let people show you who they are and don’t assume that you know how they operate.
One of the difficult lessons I’ve had to learn recently is that my trauma response may trigger someone else’s core wounds. Even though I’d like to be treated with compassion, not everyone will be able to offer that to me for their own self-preservation.
People change their mind all the time. Be mindful of basing your self-worth on what others thinks of you. Know you’re worthy so that when people change their mind, you’re self-assured in who you are + what you have to offer.
And I want you to know that it was never your fault that they couldn’t see you for who you are on the inside. You’ve made yourself wrong for years but now it’s time to see that the blame should no longer the placed on you.
How you deliver truth is important. Your delivery sends a message about your intentions. You can’t expect people to take on what you’ve got to say if you’re too sharp with your tongue. Words have power.
You’re withdrawing the love you can give to yourself and pouring it onto others expecting them to return it back to you. You’re waiting for them give you is something you’ve have the ability to offer yourself. Give yourself the love you so freely give to others.
Every time they didn’t see you, you were forced to see yourself. It caused you great pain at the time but it was a blessing in disguise. Now you know how to turn inwards and give yourself the love + validation you desired.
If you’ve suffered from negative self-talk for many years, be mindful of becoming obsessed with the need to develop and improve yourself. Negative self-talk and shaming can hide itself under the guise of healing work.
It’s not too late to show people who you truly are. You no longer need to perform in order to meet other people’s needs. You have the ability to change the dynamics that has been previously set.

I believe strong women have the power to make strong men even stronger.
Just as I believe that strong men make women stronger.
It is the WEAK in BOTH genders who blame and oppress.
