Throughout my journey to reach financial independence I was constantly frustrated with the tools available. @RoaringHammy Mortgage is a big one for us too for sure. Working on some apps that make our daily lives easier as well, automating the boring admin stuff that takes up too much decision space on the daily
@SCHDaccumulator Buying for us. Rented for years and years until we had a sizable downpayment. Don’t get me wrong there’s plenty of cons, but we’ve got a great community now and wouldn’t change it for the world.
Growing up my dad always said “it’s easier to make more money than to spend less.” I always thought this was such a boomer take but I get it now. Not that it’s actually easy to make more money, more so that it’s just practically hard to spend less once you’ve already removed the uneccesary stuff. Good on you for tracking and staying on top of it!
@NotA_Bull I mean at this point it would just be “Buy Bitcoin” because that would outperform everything I’ve learned. Besides that though, the key is avoid g trying to get rich quick, as that’s the fastest way to become poor.
@Budgetdog_ That’s so true. Increasing your man salary while focusing on preventing lifestyle creep will allow you plenty of capital to park in something like $VOO. That boring plan alone can get you to financial freedom.
