BP Just Turned Azerbaijan Into a Bigger Gas Story.🇦🇿

BP has started commercial gas production at Azerbaijan’s ACG field.

This is important because ACG has been an oil asset for nearly three decades.

Now it becomes an integrated oil-and-gas platform.

The field holds an estimated 4 Tcf of recoverable non-associated gas, with upside to 6 Tcf.

That matters.

Europe needs non-Russian gas.
The Caspian is strategic.
And BP is clearly leaning back into hydrocarbons.

This is not just another field startup.

It is another sign that secure gas supply is being revalued.
