The affiliate discourse will never not make me laugh. 😭

Some of the loudest people criticizing affiliates have sold Discords, signals, courses, subscriptions, coaching—or taken partnerships with big fat retainers where they get a guaranteed check upfront.

But somehow the person who spends hours researching, creating educational content, answering questions, teaching and live trading FOR FREE is the greedy one because they have… a referral code?

Be serious. 😂

I don’t get paid upfront to research. I don’t charge you to watch me trade. I don’t put every useful piece of information behind a paywall. I give away more of my time and knowledge for free than I ever get paid for.

If somebody finds value in what I do and chooses to use my code, I might make something. If they don’t, I make $0.

Meanwhile, some of the same people criticizing that won’t lift a finger unless there’s guaranteed money attached to it.

And the “I use prop firms, I just don’t use affiliate codes” crowd might be my favorite.

Cool. 😂

You’ll use the research.
You’ll watch the content.
You’ll learn from the breakdowns.
You’ll ask questions.
You’ll take the information.

You’ll happily support the company you’re buying from—you just make a point of bypassing the person who spent their own time helping you make an informed decision.

That’s like telling your server:

“I loved the service. You answered every question, explained the menu and took care of me all night. I’m absolutely paying the restaurant.
I just don’t believe in tipping.”

The audacity isn’t even the funniest part.

It’s the privilege of believing your own time deserves guaranteed compensation while someone else’s should apparently be donated to you indefinitely. 😭

So I am getting a lot of dms about .@VestExchange sizing and what perps are... below is a small cheat sheet...

How to read these 👇

Perps have two settings that work together: the multiplier (5x, 10x, 25x, 50x) and the % buttons (25%, 50%, 75%, 100%).

The multiplier decides the biggest position your account is allowed to open. On a $25K account, 10x lets you open up to $250K. 50x lets you open up to $1.25M.

The % buttons decide how much of that biggest position you actually use. 100% uses all of it. 25% uses a quarter of it.

So on a $25K account:
50x at 25% = a quarter of $1.25M = $312K = 5 MNQ
25x at 50% = half of $625K = $312K = 5 MNQ
Same trade, different buttons.
Chart 1 is a $1,500 max drawdown. Chart 2 is a $750 max drawdown. Both use a 20-point stop and show what one stop costs, how many losses you survive before the drawdown ends the account, and how many wins it takes to pass. Cyan is the sweet spot. Orange blows fast.

With $1,500 of drawdown, 4–5 MNQ is the sweet spot. With $750, it's 2 MNQ.

Find your drawdown, find your row, and pick the multiplier where 100% is the biggest position you'd ever want. Then one wrong tap can't oversize you. 📌
