I think there's a lot of misunderstanding here about the twisted mental illness of much of the left.

"We don't care if you pretend you're the opposite sex; we can get along fine as long as you don't push it on us" is a contradiction in terms. "Moderate, sane trans person" is also a contradiction in terms.

Do you know why trans people so vehemently insist the Right is engaged in some kind of g-nocide against them? Why the left insists "words are violence"?

Because their sense of identity and self exists entirely detached from objective reality. It is rooted entirely in groupthink validation of their delusions. When you say "I'm not going to pretend along with you", in their minds that is indistinguishable from literally destroying them.

To them, your cooperative olive branch of "live and let live" is tantamount to a declaration of war. Much of the "Identity Left" that cover themselves in tattoos and dye their hair drastic colors often exist in a similar metaphysical frame of mind.

There are "moderate and sane Democrats" out there, sure, but by and large it is not the people you describe here.

Starting in 2027, Washington will require a bunch of hoop jumping and the acquisition of a pay-to-renew license before you can even purchase a firearm.

There are a good number of video games that have an interesting story but whose gameplay I have ZERO interest in engaging in. So in that case it's a sort of parasocial storytime to watch somebody else do it. I get to enjoy an engaging story while someone else does all the busywork I can't be bothered to.

Similar dynamic with D&D. I dabbled in actually playing tabletop and I hated it, haven't touched it in years, but it can still be fun and entertaining to watch a bunch of theater kids play.
