Last week was @money2020 week.

@AlexisYellow and @0xburakcem were repping Yellow in main stage keynotes, at side events, and in private meetings with partners and investors.

Yellow is built for what's coming next in finance - and the conversations were inspiring.

In the first 4 months of 2026, around 100,000 employees in tech have lost their jobs.

Meta, Microsoft, ASML, and Block are among the big names clearing out headcount to pay for AI spend or to embrace AI work processes.

So why does this kind of news interest us at Yellow?

Well... Every one of those "AI work processes" eventually becomes an AI agent that needs to transact.

Each agent will pay for compute, call APIs, license data, book services, and settle with other agents. It will do this without a human in the loop, and it will do it thousands of times a second.

Existing structures are not built for that.

Card networks assume a cardholder. Bank transfers assume business hours and batch windows. Even most crypto rails assume a user clicking "confirm" in a wallet. None of that survives contact with a software agent running 24/7 across chains.

Yellow is building the trust and settlement layer for AI agent commerce. Yellow is a Layer-3 protocol that uses state channels to transact off-chain in real time, with only the final state settled on-chain. Yellow is non-custodial by design, cross-chain by default, and with integrations that reach into the XRPL EVM Sidechain so real-world assets can be traded with faster, low-cost settlement.

The Yellow SDK is where builders plug in. It abstracts the blockchain specifics so a developer can write once, deploy across chains, and give their AI agents the features they need to lock, release and settle value trustlessly.

So when the headlines say AI is reshaping work, we read them as: the number of software entities that need to pay each other is about to go up sharply. That is the network we are building for.

Yesterday @stevenzeiler and I presented the vision @Yellow has been developing for a while: the agentic economy.

Our state channel tech solves a range of market problems that other solutions simply can’t address efficiently due to their architecture.

Here are four scenarios where Yellow excels:

(i) High-frequency trading: Agents negotiate, match orders, and exchange P&L off-chain.
(ii) Bidirectional micropayments: Agents stream payments both ways (e.g., collaborative AI tasks).
(iii) Private strategy execution: Agents share proprietary signals privately, protected from front-running.
(iv) Conditional logic: Agents negotiate contract terms, update conditional payouts, run bidding rounds, or execute multi-step workflows.

The most exciting part is that the TAM for the agentic economy is in the Trillions. This scale inevitably attracts many companies, they compete with each other, and they ship better products. Even better, the market keeps growing by leaps and bounds!
