Ali Shahrokh Rahmani, 26, was leaving home with his mother when he was shot in the throat.

His mother was wounded too.

Shahrokh died there, outside his own home in Hesar, Karaj.

He had already completed 19 months of compulsory military service. Only a couple of months left.

He worked in a cafe and had plans for when service finally ended.

He wanted to change his car, build a better life for himself, open a small cafe, get married, and train professionally in massage therapy.

His friends remembered him as energetic, hardworking, always cheerful and someone who loved travelling.

More than anything, he was deeply attached to his family and especially close to his sister.

He was so close to finishing the part of his life he had been waiting to get through.

Two more months of military service.

Instead, he was shot outside his home with his mother beside him.

Shahrokh was buried at Golzare Shohada cemetery in Hesar.
