KTEN can confirm that Sherman ISD has hired Efrain Ramos as its new head football coach!

Ramos most recently served as head football coach and athletic director in Lamesa ISD, where he led the Golden Tornadoes to a district championship and their best regular season record in more than 20 years.

Ramos was the defensive coordinator on Anna’s most recent 2023 4A D1 State Championship run!

Also was at Lubbock Coronado from 2014-2020 and Amarillo Caprock from 2006-2014

Ramos will replace head coach Josh Aleman who spent three seasons at the helm, finishing just 8-21 during his tenure and missing the playoffs every season.

The Bearcats have not made the playoffs since 2020.
