3 January 2022 - #Omicron update for London, UK.
London is following a similar pattern to Gauteng, South Africa. It is the same virus and the same human physiology at play.
Omicron is mild everywhere, not only in Africa.

So impressed with folks like @johnsgunn@RayDoesData and @wilsonKM2 who continue, after many months, to share their expertise in data visualization so the rest of us can understand what's happening in the NB/Atlantic pandemic situation. Much appreciated.
Some days I feel like an old, late-adopter, tech dinosaur but even I find @hotspotcities easy to use and so convenient for parking downtown. No more digging for change and worrying about a meter running out. This young company is killing it. 👍 @PhillCurley & HotSpot team.
Rates of new cases and hospitalizations continue to be highest among unvaccinated.

Key facts / CUPE wage increases would total 15% over 5 years, an exceptional offer/ *And RETROACTIVE (for some) back to 2016,17,18,19,20 / Average inflation was 2% over the same time period / offer is higher than inflation.
A look at today's numbers - we're seeing a downward trend across the board. Unvaccinated still represent 10x more hospitalizations, and 14x more cases than fully vaccinated.
I appreciate that we care enough about each other to follow public health guidelines, protect our healthcare system and hospitals from being overwhelmed and will do our best to keep our most vulnerable safe from unnecessary illness . . .
