Promoting the development of a Greenway on the disused rail line running from Tralee town center, to the seaside village of Fenit on the Atlantic coast.
Well, the wait is almost over as it is expected that another section of the greenway is set to open to the public this weekend.
Wheels pumped, chains oiled, togs on !
Looks like the new @TFILocalKerry bus service between #Fenit and #Tralee is set to commence on Monday the 1st of July.

It was another beautiful sunny day as our TYs headed off to walk the Fenit to Tralee Greenway. It was the perfect opportunity to get to know the boys from the Green as the two groups will be attending co-operation classes together throughout the year! @cbsthegreen
I finally got to cycle the greenway from my hometown of Tralee to Fenit, the village I hope to live in one day. It is such a fantastic resource, well done @greenways_kerry@countykerry

What an amazing day for our 1st year Activity Day. 137 boys walked from the school, through the park onto the Greenway and all the way to Fenit. What an incredible and free amenity for Tralee 🌊☀️
We rode the Tralee-Fenit greenway. It is a fantastic piece of infrastructure. It offers a safe commuting route to #Tralee. Kerry CoCo is to be congratulated. Our only gripe is that users have to give way at private rds (and there are lots of them), but needed to persuade locals?
Given that it's been 5 years since we declared a biodiversity emergency this is disappointing to see, as well as being a amenity for humans this is a key ecological corridor. Not to mention how ugly this looks, the total opposite of the image that @greenways_kerry are marketing !
