We agree and can only apologize. We are and were upset about those incidents. Our response could have and should have been better regarding them as our primary goal is always safety. We will absolutely do our best to learn, improve and make things safe in the future.
We r upset at all the violence that happened during such a short march yesterday. We r saddened at the fact that attacks happened and at the lack of successful deescalation. We hope future actions are smoother and safer - and we hope outside observers understand that this -
Nice turnout today for the #trans march at the Capitol today. This march was about bringing attention to the egregious federal policies which continue to plague the trans community. #wontbeerased@trans_march
There was hate, anger & violence towards the protesters along the march. Thank u to the organizers @trans_march & volunteers that kept the march going and everyone safe. March finished strong.
โAINT NO POWER LIKE THE POWER OF THE PEOPLE CUZ THE POWER OF THE PEOPLE DONโT STOP!
The movement doesn't stop just cause today's march is over. We're already thinking about what to do next. Ask yourself the same thing. What can you do to be a strong ally to queer people?
We can't thank everybody who participated in general! We know and understand that not everybody could make it for so many reasons. As long as you support us with love, compassion and action, you get what this movement's about.
