@badinfinity2 Agree, and I get what buddy is going for, but I've also seen cowards use it as plausibly-deniable misgendering against trans women friends. She perhaps aspires to be a Gloomy-D Anita Bryant, but she also is weird family and deserves a minimum of respect

The "trans athlete debate" is not really about sports or fairness, but about getting a legal precedent deeming trans women to be men under the law that can be extended to other areas of our lives.

@Esqueer_ I'd add that the letter's general tone of passive-aggressive faux-concern reads very much like the product of someone/something trained in American-style utiliisation management

@Esqueer_ 'Realize' (including changing the spelling in a quotation) 'emphasizes' 'specialized': it must be significant that the letter uses American English spelling conventions. Was the letter written by an American medical professional or by AI?

@raniaalmlka Alhamdulillah! Finding that acceptance at work must be a great relief, though I wish it weren't something we had to worry about. I've been in many work relationships where I'm the first out trans person they know, and most are fierce allies now. I'm very happy for you

He found the Duke incredibly awkward until he noticed that they had the same bootmaker, and they proceeded to have a very detailed conversation about the craftsmanship of their boots

@raniaalmlka Plus after several cycles of feeling the full emotional weight of both the very hard times and the joyful times, I've realized I'm learning so much about loving life and myself. And when I am around other trans women I feel very strongly we've all been given a real blessing
