Made the bug bread for my boss’s birthday (he’s an entomologist)- left it on his desk (with holes cut in the box so it could breathe) he opened it and said “where did you find a bakery that makes bug shaped bread?”
Bro, my kitchen. With sourdough starter I grew myself.
him: idk, i just.. i feel like you’re trying to boil me into soup
me, throwing carrots and potatoes into a giant cauldron: babe, you sound crazy right now
You *can* request transgender performers as co-stars, you’re just not doing it. People do it, and studios say yes more often than it might seem like, when a performer who is a regular in their roster suggests it. From talking to the other trans men, I know, that specifically, has been a primary way that we’ve got booked on sites. And a lot of the time, it’s how we’ve got booked even on sites that haven’t hired trans men before. It’s not going to hurt anyone to make the suggestion, even if the producer or director says no. But a lot of performers who I know make content with trans men, don’t ever bring it up to the studios they work for, because they think it isn’t an option to ask. It’s always an option to ask. And even if they don’t end up going w/ it, suggesting that you’d want to work with a trans person for a site is a great way to normalize desire for us in the industry.
