She has had a good day. The wind is scary but she managed to brave it for the loo.

She was on the sofa bed in the back room but appeared in the living room and jumped up on the sofa beside me of her own free will.

But I spent a year delivering coffins for people who were 500+lbs. I was part of a team of 2, I went out on Monday, the other chap, on a Tuesday. It was long distance delivery. I'd deliver 2 or 3. He'd do the same. I'd delivery 8-9 per week. Him too. The coffins have to be re-inforced, extra large. They can't always go in a hearse, they have to go in a truck. There is an additional cost if you want burial, as it often takes 2 burial places.
Cremation isn't always possible unless that Crem' has the ability to, let's put it politely, accommodate the burning of a high fat content... without the chimney going on fire.

Depending on the burial location you may need a crane to be hired. It could be hilly. It's impossible to have ENOUGH people to carry 500lb of person...and the coffin, that is extra large.. over muddy ground. One slip...and 500lb of person is smashed to the ground, no box is holding that. No trolley has wheels wide enough to transport that person over muddy ground.
A crane is needed. It aint ever going to be free.

The SWP cannot recruit because they have no purpose anymore. Yes, they are extremists and they did try to hush up those rape allegations.
But as an Ex-SWP person who left before 2000, so over 26 yrs ago, it's now not the same Party it was.
It was ALWAYS the Party of pseudo intellectuals, middle class teachers, lecturers, trainee solicitors and lost weirdos.
I was a postman throughout most of my time in the SWP. An actual delivery/driver postman. But all of the branch roles, the speakers, the Central Committee were non working class. Every single thing that happened... "could lead to revolution!".
I'm embarrassed I was that easily led. But I was young. 22 or so. Until I was about 27.

BUT - one thing is important here. They were a class conscious organisation, they did mean it, because they had Tony Cliff.... But the leadership was stolidly Middle Class. Now, they're scratching around for anyone who will make them relevant again and hoping for "the class moving as one" come the fabled "class consciousness" arising... anyone in the SWP now is just cannon fodder to get the CC to a point they hope to become relevant to lead some kind of worker's uprising. By abandoning Materialism and throwing their like in with Islamists, they're just going to help Islam kill them.. they will be the first.
