Transition Projects provides individuals with the services, resources and tools they need to end their homelessness, secure housing, and maintain that housing.
The following cooling centers are open today!
These buildings are open to the public and provide air conditioning and a place to cool off during high heat. If you don’t have air conditioning, go to a community cooling center or cool space.
HAPPENING NOW: @transitionpro is handing out water, snacks and a list of cooling centers to those living on the streets.
Their goal today is let people know that’s it’s getting above 100 degrees.

2. @Windermere: For years, Windermere agents and branches have supported Transition Projects in multiple ways, such as collecting coats for us via their “Share the Warmth” drive.
Their recent grant will provide 25 move-in kits for people transitioning to permanent housing!

Our Veterans Services Team assists those who served in our armed forces with things like housing resources, income development, legal services, and more.
We're hosting the annual Portland Veterans Hiring Fair & Stand Down on Wednesday, Sept. 20th, at the Veterans Memorial Coliseum.

At the beginning of June, we voiced our commitment to fostering an environment that respects and celebrates the unique identities, experiences, and needs of the LGBTQIA+ community.
The work continued throughout June with agency-wide training conducted by @basicrights.

As volunteers finished the garden beds, the inaugural three participants of the Laurelwood Center Garden Club eagerly planted their new garden with tomatoes, squash, onions, lettuce, peas, and carrots that the shelter can use in meals this summer!
