After a year of design, I've finally completed my fantasy transit map of the Greater Toronto Area!
I tried to keep things realistic (but, yes there are some silly things!) Let me know what you think
@JayBeeGooner On the 506, ashdale (which gets removed for cafeto already) and either sackville or sumach (very close together). But again the biggest issue imo is tsp and dedicated lanes. Having seen the report though
Been riding an ebike for a year now, it's faster than transit, & comparable to driving, at a fraction of the cost, while helping the environment.
Bike lanes keep me (and many others) safe while reducing traffic
Too many drivers across Ontario are stuck in gridlock for hours every day and bike lanes are making things worse.
Next week, weโre introducing legislation that would require cities to get provincial approval for any new bike lanes that require removing a lane of traffic.
@Y0urW3lc0me @chennyalan@DudiEdwards The whole point is bikes are more efficient than cars but yeah I wear helmet, use lights and don't break rules so I don't get fined
@Miles_n_Hour Bike lanes literally take people out of cars, the only thing that causes car traffic is cars. There are some reckless cyclists, but there are also tons of reckless drivers, and they still get the most road space
lol the TTC now posting that riders shouldn't complain about a subway that can't go faster than 10km/h
Keeping trains safe doesn't require slow zones on most transit systems!
@WBMetro62@Markster3000@weather_forkast It's better than Union but not being able to transfer in Scarborough is wild, still a lot of extra time backtracking
(1/2) Ever wonder why the subway slows down? ๐ Itโs because youโre in a Reduced Speed Zone. These zones are essential for completing crucial work like track replacements, and ensure customers are safe until necessary maintenance work is completed.
@OntarioLine construction is chugging along faster than I could make this video! I cover all of the new developments of the project https://t.co/So6NgWhPqK
The City of Toronto is proposing the installation of a complete street on Dupont Street between Dundas Street West and Davenport Road. Complete streets enhance road safety and accessibility for all, including pedestrians, people cycling, driving and taking transit. (1/3)
@not_taylorx As bad as it is, the 25/925/72/100 have been bad before this construction. Scheduling of these routes doesn't seem to factor traffic or school rush hour
