Yesterday was a very special and historic day for Caledonian Sleeper as we picked up guests from Birmingham International for the first time - the biggest change to our timetable in 30 years! 🚆
Guests can now board at Birmingham International and travel directly to Fort William, Inverness or Aberdeen.
Our Managing Director Graham Kelly was joined by Andrew Lovett from West Midlands Tourism & Hospitality Board, Cllr. Karen Grinsall from Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council, Helen Bates from Birmingham Chambers of Commerce, Steven Harrison from Birmingham Airport, Peter Sargant of West Midlands Rail and Nikki Bains from Birmingham Airport.
Many lorry facilities are at or near full capacity, with expansion constrained by land availability, funding and planning restrictions.
