Launched in 2021, the Trans Zakat Project aims to be a bridge between zakat-eligible trans/non-binary Muslims and donors interested in supporting them.

The first work day after Eid = spending the day transferring needed funds to our registered trans and NB Muslim recipients. More to do tomorrow but we got through most of them today. We’re grateful we can do this work and thankful for all the donors who make this possible. ❤️

While our fundraiser will remain live all year, donations we receive by the end of Ramadan/Eid al-Fitr will be disbursed starting next Monday and will provide crucial aid to trans and nonbinary Muslims who need and deserve this support.

Trans Zakat Project is accepting donations! All donations go to support trans and non-binary Muslims (we charge no fees and keep none of the funds). Anyone can donate, anytime, but to qualify as a Ramadan/Eid donation, Muslim donors should donate by April 21.
