Examples of vague protest demands:
- Protesting for “a better Nigeria”
- Protesting against bad roads
- Protesting against unemployment
These are real problems, but as protest demands, they are too broad.
For example, protesting against bad roads” is valid, but what exactly are we demanding?
Which road?
Who is responsible?
What budget was approved?
Which contractor was awarded the project?
What is the timeline?
How will citizens track the work?
A stronger protest demand would be:
We are protesting for the rehabilitation of a specific road, with the approved budget, contractor name, project timeline, and progress report made public.
That is a clear demand.
Examples of better and more specific protest demands:
- Protest for a specific section of the constitution or electoral law to be reviewed.
- Protest for an independent audit of a specific ministry, department, agency, or public project, with the full report made public.
- Protest for the price of fuel, gas, food, or any essential commodity to be reviewed, subsidized, or regulated with a clear implementation plan.
- Protest for a specific program to support older adults. We should name the program, state who qualifies, explain what the support should look like, and demand a timeline for implementation.
- Protest that any politician or public official with an active fraud-related case should be suspended from controlling or spending taxpayers’ money until the investigation is completed, independently audited, and made public.
- Protest for power generation, transmission, and distribution to be decentralized so that states can take more responsibility for improving power supply.
- Protest for local government autonomy to be fully enforced, with proof that funds are going directly to local governments and being used for the people.
- Protest that state government spending should be made publicly available in a simple format that citizens can access, read, question, and challenge.
- Protest for a centralized public database showing state workers, their roles, agencies, and salaries, so ghost workers and inflated payrolls can be exposed.
- Protest that citizens should have access to public information about the salaries, allowances, and benefits of politicians at every level of government.
I can go on and on.
The point is simple: protest should not only be emotional. It should also be specific!
“Fix Nigeria” is not enough.
What exactly should be fixed?
Who is responsible?
What law, policy, ministry, agency, budget, road, school, hospital, or program are we targeting?
What result do we want?
What timeline are we demanding?
That is how protest becomes harder to ignore.
🪂 $ZODL just landed on the radar as a potential sleeper airdrop play with serious smart money backing 💰
The @zodl_co project is building privacy infrastructure and a native non custodial wallet for the Zcash ecosystem, focused on shielded transactions and zk-tech.
What makes it interesting:
- Built by former Zcash core engineers who left Electric Coin Company
- Raised: $25M from Paradigm, a16z, Coinbase Ventures, Winklevoss Capital, and Arthur Hayes
- Already processed $600M+ in swap volume
- Shielded Pool activity on Zcash reportedly grew 400%
Most importantly: there is NO referral system.
Meaning the project isn’t overrun by farm bots and mass market “invite 37 friends” farmers. The expectation is that any future drop would reward real onchain activity instead of cheap sybil spam.
Current strategy:
- download #ZODL wallet here https://t.co/3dZNdrncmn
- bridge some $ZEC
- interact with shielded pools and swaps
- build consistent onchain volume/activity
Sometimes the best airdrops are the ones nobody is loudly farming yet. 👀
