One of the best aspects of The Clone Wars was how it never shied away from the darker aspects of Star Wars, whether it be Maul’s brutality or the consequences of political corruption and war, simply to tone it down for younger audiences.

Like, they actually aired scenes like this on Cartoon Network during the series’ original run. Incredibly commendable.

Wachowskis' Speed Racer actually captures kinetic spirit of the original Japanese anime. The film works because it treats the source material with respect rather than mockery, ensuring it is a fun, story about the integrity of family, despite being campy its good adaptation.

Who Framed Roger Rabbit (1988) is nothing like the book it came from. And that’s a good thing. Even the author preferred the film so much that he wrote his sequel as a follow-up to the movie and dismissed the original novel as Jessica Rabbit’s bad dream.
