I’m struggling to understand this phenomenon where people say that nothing feels real anymore. Most of this is on YouTube etc. Are you maybe not leaving your house and only interacting with screen people? Could that be it? Could you have cut yourself off from the real world? It’s still out there and plenty of people are participating.

Needle drops used to be great. They were often personal directorial choices. The problem is licensing became too complicated and expensive so you have to hear “Sweet Child O’ Mine” in a scene where it doesn’t work and you have to pretend it’s the first time you’ve heard it in a movie.
