๐จPersonal update!๐จ Iโve decided to take a break from journalism for a bit, and so yesterday was my last day at New Orleans Public Radio.
There are a lot of reasons for this decision, some of them institutional, but the biggest and most pressing has to do with burnout.
Came out of radio retirement to make one more lil climate story. This one wonders whether the Mid-delta could absorb some of the food agriculture thatโs destined to flee California
In our first three episodes, we looked at farmers changing HOW & WHAT they farm. In our final episode, we talk about WHERE they farm. Because one of the main places Americans grow our food today โ California โ is running out of water. Listen & subscribe! https://t.co/MOiBOB8lRV
@oliviacpaschal In terms of history thereโs this book, which catalogs the very intentional rebranding of Texas in the 20s and 30s as a less southern state and more of a western state https://t.co/NmryQI9wpe
@oliviacpaschal I think about this essay a lot, which scratches some of these ideas. Plus @PlacesJournal is a good resource for other articles of a similar kind https://t.co/TPFVv6strr
