I’m happy to announce that today I was hired as an Occasional Teacher by the Ottawa Catholic School Board! I’m so excited to visit new classrooms, learn alongside students, and put the teaching skills and knowledge I have acquired these past years into action! #neverstoplearning
@TScottOCDSB Hi Tricia, it does mean that I’m available for OCSB the rest of the school year, though I need to complete a few online forms beforehand! So soon enough!
Also I am late in posting this but I am so very thankful to the staff and students of Westmount Public School for welcoming me into their classrooms as part of a three-week volunteer placement. What a wonderful way to finish my B.Ed. program. #KPRDSB#education#CSL#uOttawaedu
Thank you to those classmates in my kindergarten university class who developed some fine, creative activity presentations! These centres were fun and open-ended in nature! #uOttawaedu#uOttawa#education#kindergarten#creativity
Today, we did a fun dance warm-up and then learned how to play Tchoukball! Excited to use these ideas in my own gym class 🙌 @jennrottmann@CSHUOttawa@uOttawaEdu
A special thank you to our guide Hunter McKenzie of @IndigenousWalks for the great tour today! I especially loved the story about the formation of Turtle Island.
Today @MmeHabets and I shared our kindergarten activity stations in class. I don’t mean to brag, but our “light tables” were a hit! These tables are awesome and with dividers, beads, and markers connect to a variety of kindergarten expectations! #uOttawaEdu#kindergarten#jksk
Kaleidoscopes, pom pom launchers, balloon-powered race cars, paper airplanes, and a mini playground - so many great examples of math, science, arts, and kinesthetic learning concept integration in your classroom! #uOttawaEdu#uOttawaCSH#education#math#science#arts
Our class participated in experiential learning through unveiling the history of Canada's Indigenous Peoples in the form of a blanket exercise. What a powerful experience! #IndigenousEducation@uOttawaEdu@CSHUOttawa
Good times today during the B.Ed. Year 2 Professional Inquiry and Action Research Project presentations! The research conducted and findings acquired by me and my classmates will ensure better practices in our teaching careers! #uOttawa#uOttawaedu#education
