@ImSoSarah @mfaulkner43 This part is on corporations who now view college as required education. These are entry level jobs wanting a college degree AND experience. We (as companies) need to realize that we ARE the experience for these people. Rarely is college teaching what you want them to learn.

@georgialyle I think this was my problem with RMS in general. It's been years now so I'm certainly not recalling the exact details correctly but RMS did a talk for Pirate Parties Intl and then threw a huge tantrum on the mailing list because the video got posted to YT which has nonfree js.

@georgialyle We tried to work with him but also in the end our job was to spread the gospel so to speak. He is entitled to his reluctance to support nonfree js or Google or anything else. However, if you can't communicate your ideas to people then how do we get new people engaged?

@treyford I think my personal minimums before I support another Air Show is: no sonic booms. No aerobatics below 3k' (which I think is the altitude at @AbbyAirshow?).

I love airplanes, I just don't want my entertainment to endanger someone else, on or off the ground.

@treyford I did look this up when I was making my mind up on it. I think I remember the CARs set the distance for the show line to be 1500' for jets and the minimum altitude being just 500'. They can also do fly bys at 200'

I don't think these are enough, though I don't have a good fix
