@hperryhorton I bought the 'Ain't Them Bodies Saints' blu-ray, largely because I wanted to watch 'St. Nick,' David's first feature and the entire film was included as a bonus feature on the disk! It was the only way to watch that film. A great secret two for the price of one deal.

We had another fantastic screening of Dynasty and Destiny at the Hill Country Film Festival in Fredericksburg this weekend. Ten years ago, I based myself in Texas out of a desire to tell Texan stories. Premiering this film in Texas was in many ways the culmination of that dream.

Tonight, I'm preparing to hit the road for a marathon of film festivals, culminating in our premiere at @Tribeca

Dynasty and Destiny also had an incredible screening this month in Baltimore with the Maryland Film Festival! As a part of the closing night block our films were introduced by the mayor of Baltimore and had the honor of closing out the festival.

We never intended to make a film that would be inspiring and exciting to a younger audience but seeing their enthusiasm reminded me of why we started telling stories in the first place.

Last month we had the incredible honor of premiering our new film, Dynasty and Destiny, at the 2024 San Francisco International Film Festival. The film was also recognized with the festival's Golden Gate award!

As a part of the family shorts program in the festival we were invited to participate in SFFILM’s broader education and outreach programs.
It was incredible to have an opportunity to do an in-person school visit with Bay Area first and fourth graders who had seen our film.

A huge honor to be amongst these incredible filmmakers. Last month marks ten years since I moved to Austin. I picked this city largely because of the independent film community that has been developed lovingly over many decades here by institutions like this one.

@KUTnathan If an election is held and the voters do not approve the bond, what happens next? ATP continues to collect the tax but can't issue debt and waits till the next election for another bond resolution? A failed election doesn't repeal the creation of ATP or the 2020 transit mandate?

@KUTnathan I'm really curious to know how they solved the issue of street level light rail going down South Congress violating the viewing corridor law. That was one of the primary considerations to justify the tunneling strategy. Given the legislature's anti transit stance, seems relevant.

@KUTnathan I don't understand why they need to modify any of their previously proposed designs/plans/routes if they have a permanent source of funding approved from the voters? Why couldn't they just adjust their timeline to account for the cost increases?

@mdahmus @KUTnathan That is also how it appeared to me. Along with other system wide changes (depending on the selected plan) that would effectively limit the future ability to build out the originally proposed southern leg of the orange line.

@KUTnathan If anything going through another multi-year design phase seems like it only invites further cost increases due to property prices going up in the interim? Which by this logic would then entail another round of design revision/scope reduction?

@KUTnathan Do you know if this map show the most recent right of way adjustments? I'd read they were considering making adjustments to the i35/Mariposa area affecting the WhipIn? Not seeing that reflected in this schematic.

@totallyslutsky It would have to be something like that, right? Seems like a really bad incentive structure for everyone except for enterprise customers.

@totallyslutsky This, sadly, was also my reaction. I'm having trouble figuring out what their new 2 tb bandwidth really means in practice? Like if I have another staff picked video am I going to be in breach of my bandwidth?
