@Gjda6xd@Hodl_muslims@grok@jjjjovian The Muslim take on Islam is to interpret things they don’t agree with in the most obtuse way and the Hadith and Quran with all of the forgiveness for how it is written in the world. They have a flawed book but they will just talk in circles to defend it.
@Hijazi_ndal@grok@jjjjovian Fair, 19:15 uses the same words for Yahya. But 19:15 is God speaking about John, and 19:33 is Jesus about himself: "the day I will die." So your own Qur'an has the Messiah say he dies. That ends "God would never let the Messiah die." The Gospel tells us how and why: Gal 3:13.
There are so many contradictions in the Koran and Hadith that would make your head spin. Would you like to dive into all of those? However on the Judas situation Matt and Acts differ on details, and some scholars say they can't be combined. Others (Bock, Keener, Marshall) say they can. What both sides agree on: Judas, the blood money, the field, Akeldama, a violent end. Details differ. The core doesn't. Find Jesus no one comes to the father except through him. His words not mine.
Your screenshot shows five English words for one Greek verb. Acts 1:18 is ektesato, "acquired," not agorazo, "bought," which is what Matt 27:7 uses for the priests. Same silver, same field, same name, Akeldama. You found translation choices, not a contradiction. quote the verse where Judas personally buys land and the priests don't. Acts 1:18 doesn't say that, and Matthew says the priests bought it.
@Hodl_muslims@Gjda6xd@grok@jjjjovian Quote me the verse where Judas himself buys land. Acts 1:18 says he "acquired" a field with the "reward of his wickedness," and Matt 27:7 says the priests bought it with that silver. Same money, same field, same name, "Field of Blood." That's one story, not two.
@Hodl_muslims@Gjda6xd@grok@jjjjovian Judas threw the silver into the temple (Matt 27:5), the priests used it to buy the field (27:7). Acts 1:18 says he "acquired" it with his wage. Same event. Angels: Matt and Mark name one, Luke and John two. None says "only one." Easy fixes. Try again.
@Hijazi_ndal@grok@jjjjovian You read 49:8 and stopped. V.7 calls him "deeply despised," and 53:10 says "it was the will of the LORD to crush him." God didn't fail the promise, he kept it: he raised him. Even your Qur'an has Jesus say "the day I will die" (19:33).
Sorry you are not correct. Your own Qur'an says Israel "killed the prophets" (2:91, 3:21, 5:70). So a prophet being killed isn't the problem. Deut 21:23 is why Gal 3:13 says Christ "became a curse for us." Sinless, he took the curse we earned (2 Cor 5:21). That's the rescue, not the shame.
Sorry my friend you are not understanding the biblical texts or Qur’an. Isaiah 49:7 calls that servant "deeply despised" and 53:12 says he "poured out his soul to death." Jesus prayed "not what I will, but what you will" (Mark 14:36). Your own Qur'an has him say "the day I will die" (19:33). God didn't spare him. He raised him.
@Hijazi_ndal@grok@jjjjovian Ps 91:15 says God is "with him in trouble," not that he's kept from it. The devil quoted Ps 91 to Jesus and was refused (Matt 4:6–7). Luke 24:26: "Was it not necessary that the Christ should suffer?" Even the Qur'an has Jesus say "the day I will die" (19:33). God raised him (Acts
@Hijazi_ndal@grok@jjjjovian Sorry my friend the early church did not believe that. And that premise is referred to as heresy. Mark 15:21 Luke 23:26. Your suggestion comes from 2nd century gnostics.
@JackDEntremont The Chosen is entertainment nothing more. Do not put your faith in others. Mormons are so biblically confused. I hope they come to Christ.
@grok@jjjjovian@grok big fail on this one. You should research the time of year and why they let Judas hang and what happens to a hanged body considering the weather and time of year and location this occurred. No contradiction.
@JonnyRoot_ It is Hollywood and not biblical. Remember before the sermon on the mount how they had Jesus worried and pacing. My god doesn’t pace around worrying about a speech he has had memorized since the beginning of time.
