JENSEN HUANG: “Resilience matters in success. I don’t know how to teach it to you, except for: I hope suffering happens to you .. because .. greatness comes from character. And character isn’t formed out of smart people. It’s formed out of people who suffered.” $NVDA

Thissss 🙌🏽🫶🏽🙌🏽 Awareness is the first step. The hard work is following up by making the conscious decision to do things differently and find better coping strategies. Love love love this.
I do a lot of work with pastors and Xn leaders, and a growing theme over the past decade is self-awareness without self-regulation. Many have spiritual directors and counselors and psychological insights. But self-regulation is a much deeper level of embodied engagement with the autonomic nervous system and our coping styles of fight, flight, fawn and more. Knowing your Enneagram type or patterns from your family of origin doesn’t automatically translate to the work of shifting from longtime, learned survival styles. And these are what show up in relationships, at work, and in ways that disrupt and sometimes harm. This is part of what I engage in this next book I’ve written - Healing What’s Within. https://t.co/sfkrFTUoGE
2) “When you write in a fancy way to impress people, you're making them do extra work just so you can seem cool.
Write using ordinary words and simple sentences. It is easier to read, and the easier something is to read, the more deeply readers will engage with it.”
— Paul Graham
When we measure data and statistics, we cannot measure the change we can make within another person’s heart. It’s not just about the numbers. It’s about seeing education as a tool for changing the future of every single one of our students. We must impact their hearts, which will, in turn, impact their minds, which will then impact their future, which eventually changes the world.
Be a difference maker by loving kids first. THEN teach your heart out.

We gain self awareness by:
- listening to feedback from people
- reflecting on our own actions
- learning what our daily patterns are
- investing time in personal growth to become a better person
Constructive feedback can be stressful for both the recipient and the provider of feedback. But it doesn't have to be! It can be invaluable.
❓❓What are some other TIPS for giving FEEDBACK?
