Over the last couple days the outpouring of support from the public has been incredible. All day, people have been coming by with flowers. The amazing staff at the local Jack Astors dropped off some food for us as well. It means so much. Thank you 💙

Just rescued this dog from a hot car at Square One while on a paid duty. People please stop bringing your pets to places where they can’t go inside. 😡 @PeelPolice

[Tara Reda @treda79]

@RileyinAlberta @PeelPolice We didn’t wait for animal control. I breached the window once I saw the dog inside in distress.

[Tara Reda @treda79]

To clarify, it was a citizen who notified us that a dog was in the car, I was in the right place at the right time. If it wasn’t for her, this dog wouldn’t have been so lucky.

@MRobbins344 Good for you!! I took the “ASL for first responders” course offered by Seneca this past summer. It was amazing. I wish more first responders would take it.

Despite being shot twice in the face the deputy on the passenger side radioed for help, moved her partner who was shot in the head & arm to cover, applied a tourniquet to his arm & coordinated a response. These are the men & women who are police officers. https://t.co/cnisasJLHe
