From our 37 years working in the Sahel, we've learned that increased representation of women in #NaturalResourceManagement structures leads to 👇

2/ greater #empowerment, but the actual improvements surpassed our expectations:

🤝 Increase in women reporting equal or more power than their partners, from 14% to 49%
🌳Women in management positions went from 31% to 57%
🍊Households reporting severe food insecurity halved

With your support and matched funding from #UKAidMatch, communities have been working hard to protect their forest, tackle the #ClimateCrisis & contribute to the #GreatGreenWall

💚 Supported 3,093 people
🌳 Planted 116,000 native trees
🔥 Trained 375 people in bushfire management
♀️♂️ Delivered training on gender equality to both men and women
🏗 Built 3 new warehouses for storing and grading frankincense
