The average tick would die of nicotine poisoning if you smoked one cigarette before it bit you. Make sure to take a drag every few minutes on a hike. It’s for your health. You likely only have 6 months of this being effective before nicotine resistant ticks are accidentally released from the national laboratory for preventing ticks from developing nicotine resistance
@taste_of_tbone I think even Mr. “Everyday Resistance” James C Scott would agree with this tbh…. It’s a fine line between small resistance and the release valve. Would recommend reading Yurchak 2005 ‘Everything was forever until it was no more’!!
@FeralHeather This is still how we do comprehensive exams in my program! 100+ reading list, 3 questions, no notes, 5 hours of just you frantically typing in the computer lab. Traumatic and I still don’t know how I memorized all those citations but hey now I know all the stuff!!
@captgouda24@andimgladofit@Econ_Marshall Universities often hire undergraduate students as RAs, that does not make you a graduate student. Yes grad students go to classes, seminar, do research, write papers etc… but *under the mentorship of a supervising professor* like an apprenticeship
pigeons were bred to work as mail carriers for humans, then discarded, abandoned, and left to fend for themselves in hostile environments when machines replaced them and they were deemed no longer necessary. I will not tolerate this historically inaccurate pigeon slander.
