Burgerpunk is a continuation of American ethos. Sustenance towns scattered across the highway. No grand architecture or aspirations of beauty like that seen in Europe. The hero travels and follows his own compass. Is this not a victory of spirit over capitalism?
@tomieinlove Guy didn't even do the drive though. Just 10 minutes to Marin lol. His reasons are wrong but yeah OP was just a pure striver clout posting.
@bucketshopcap But the vibe is just Midwest transplants who hate their republican dad/family and ethnic 2nd gen immigrants caught up in identity politics. The inequality is economically downward kids who want to maintain their class status through far left politics and aesthetic coffee shops.
Confirmation here of what I suspected and had subsequently heard whispers of:
"The Ministry of Economic Affairs feared that Nexperia would move chip production from Europe to China. This would mean the loss of one of Europe's largest chip manufacturers."

@ContrarianCurse What? People like seeing SpongeBob arm wrestle Einstein while Tupac is rapping in the background. It's good comedy. I laughed out loud so much this week. All the Sora vids are labeled AI in tiktok. The hatred is "animators" or whatever scared they losing their job.
@ContrarianCurse Sora vids on tiktok have a lot of views and likes. Normies are loving it (or hating it with a passion). And the app is still in limited release.
@IberianMantis The stuff people don't ask for is for normies and the rabble. They never ask for anything anyways. They'll also never use Grok like you just did. Companies just trying things to see what can capture the attention of the herd.
@ContrarianCurse It's the best selling ev pickup though? Pretty obvious people don't want normal looking ev trucks like f150 lightning and rivian. Price can go down though.
How long will it take for supply chains to shift? Will it happen before they invade Taiwan? Before next president?
A lot of pass thru made in China goes through Vietnam and lots of Chinese factories in Vietnam. One point of the tariffs on everyone is so that those countries root out these types of practices.
@simonsarris The "unforced error" is doing nothing right now and then China invading Taiwan while we're still coupled with them. If America can't stomach stocks going down and increased prices on consumption then maybe we deserve to lose to China.
@leo_caesaris But Europe hasn't acted like a client. The US pays for NATO, and yet the EU was using Russian oil, and still has close relationships with China.
Why should the US pay for their defense if they do not act like our allies? They are not allies like Japan and South Korea.
@tolstoybb Here's one. Because Europe cares about Ukraine. And the US gave billions to help support Ukraine. And Zelensky was just posting about Chinese soldiers in the Russian army.
