@MrBilboJr@FrankBr05713205 I suspect that the people who are against doing this are the ones who don't tip. Those of us who do are subsidizing those who don't.
@JamieWhistle I can't stand these personal experience prompts. Kids need to learn to think beyond themselves and their personal life is none of anyone's business.
@rodjnaquin Interestingly, back in the day, when few people traveled more than 20 miles from home their whole lives, kids were familiar with the state names and locations because reading about the world beyond pet interests was the norm. So travel isn't the arbiter.
@PhilipDBunn It's been shown that humanities scholarship is indistinguishable from mock humanities scholarship and apparently it is now indistinguishable from AI generated humanities scholarship. What is the common denominator there?
@drterrysimpson I was unaware that there was a calculus major. Also, any STEM major worth their salt ought to be able to do more than simply pass calculus.
@drterrysimpson These professors want students to have mastered high school math enough to place into PRECALCULUS, not calculus. At an institution like UC, this should be a given.
