Last minute boat trip out into Lyme Bay, Devon to see if we could see the Blue-fin Tuna that have been about and wasn't disappointed. I though photographing dolphins was bad enough!

A stroll along the breakwater at Brixham this morning. Dozens of Shag & around 20-25 Great Norther Divers including small flock of 10-11 sheltering in the harbour. 2 Purple Sandpiper on the fueling jetty & 2 Rock Pipit.

Right place, right time this morning when a Temmincks Stint was found at Slimbridge. Distant shots through the glass, but best views I've had of one. Med Gull, Spotshank, Green Sand & Ruff the best of the rest. Close views of snipe.

This afternoon spent on the steppe near to Cape Kaliakra, Bulgaria. Calandra Lark, Isabelline Wheatear, Tawny Pipit and my 1st ever Short-toed Larks. Wheatear, Hoopoe and a single Stone Curlew also seen

Final full day in Bulgaria on the Black Sea Coast. A lifer for breakfast - Paddyfield Warbler, one for dinner - Common Rosefinch ( bad freehand scoped pic) & one for tea - Laughing Dove. And just one of my fav birds here - Pied Wheatear.

Bulgaria Day 8. Highlights were my 1st ever Rose- Coloured Starlings in Durankulak, an Eastern Tree Frog in the hotel garden & Red-footed Falcons around Lake Durankulak. Also Collared Pratincole, Hobby, Montagu's, E Imperial & Lesser Spotted Eagles, Ortolan & Glossy Ibis

Bulgaria Day 4. Unfortunately weather not great - heavy rain, dk skies & woodland not ideal for pics. However, the birds were great - 3 new ones were Semicollared Flycatcher, Eastern Imperial Eagle & Masked Shrike. Also Lesser Kestrel & a slightly more showy Sombre Tit.
