Here are 4 surprising things that protect your brain from premature aging:

Chronic gum disease is linked to higher risk of dementia and faster progression.
We conducted a phase I #clinicaltrial with CoVac-1, our #peptide-based #COVID19#vaccine candidate for induction of SARS-CoV-2 T cell immunity. Our observations support the presently ongoing phase II trial for patients with B cell/antibody deficiency. Here’s what we found:
@fitterhappierAJ @AnitaSusmoka Earlier this year, @RoganAGrant raised this possibility that macrophages could support viral replication of sars-cov2.

@fitterhappierAJ@GR67587007 Did you see that Merck discontinues MK-7110, a mab they bought 400M$ last november after promising early results? ☹️

Wanted to drill down a bit more about the importance of the T-cell response to SARS-CoV-2 to give you more reassurance of enduring protection from vaccines (even against variants). Technical article here but CD4/CD8 cells have role in both acute infection https://t.co/e5azau2cg1
@fitterhappierAJ Peptides corresponding to mutated sequences will of course result in T cell escape. However, there are regions that have remained largely invariant to date.
On behalf of the entire #COVaRiPAD team, we are thrilled to announce our preprint reporting humoral responses after BOTH doses of mRNA-based SARS-CoV-2 vax in 133 pts w/ chronic inflammatory diseases (CID) and 53 immunocompetent controls: https://t.co/s6a3J1bKGZ.
