Council was fortunate to meet Minister @KahlonRav to discuss issues we have heard from residents, local businesses and industry.
The conversation of course went far beyond jobs and economics, and into health, housing, industry and the future.
@KahlonRav thank you for making time and including @fortstjohn Council’s concerns today in your visit to @BCEnergyCapital.
We are fortunate for the opportunity to meet with you, learn what you’re working on and discuss NEBC’s role in the future.
“It’s the residents, it’s the staff at the city, it’s the support, and my message would truly be; thank you for trusting me with the decisions of the community that directly affect your lives, and I really look forward to continuing this in the coming years.”

@yuri_fulmer@JamesKnightBC Thank you Yuri for putting your heart and soul into this campaign.
Anyone who criticizes people who let their names stand for positions aren’t worth talking or listening to.
You did an amazing job, and I’m proud to see you stand up and fight for what the people of BC need.
Whoever wins tonight, whether the candidate you supported or not, this is about the future of B.C.. We must come together under the new leader to win the next election.
Congrats to all candidates and thank you to all the supporters and new members. #bcpoli
The room is filling up at the B.C. Conservative leadership convention. Party president Aisha Estey joked she’s wearing all white, “the proverbial white flag.” A nod to a three-month leadership race fraught with personal attacks. Follow along on here:

The Nomination period for the 2026 municipal election is 94 days away … if you are interested in running for Mayor or Council; you have 6 public meetings you can attend to learn more.
Don’t be the candidate that runs knowing nothing.
Want to know what’s wrong with politics in Canada? The country posts its 2nd consecutive decline of GDP and politicians use it to blame, instead of working across party lines to fix it for all Canadians, regardless of their political stripes. #DoBetter
We kicked off this campaign 142 days ago and it has been an absolute pleasure visiting all 93 ridings and connecting with British Columbians in every corner of our incredible province.
To all the Party members, staff, and campaign volunteers: thank you!
The vote results will be announced tomorrow night and I hope to see you there!
@ShareawareCdn This has NOTHING to do with my comment on a great voter turnout and wishing all candidates the best of luck.
Take up your concerns with the party exec, which i am not a part of.
@KarlDHarrison@angeloisidorou They have to start someone .. the fact they want to get involved and make change, while “others” sit and complain on here, speaks volumes.
It isn’t always fun being a politician on platforms like this.
@KarlDHarrison@angeloisidorou 58% was the voter turnout in the province as of the 2024 election. don’t forget, that was the BIG one between the new CPBC and Eby’s first as premier.
At 25k voted for just leader of the 42k members (highest ever) it’s over that number at 60%… the 90% verified, is HUGE.
