@OpenAI I was thinking about cancelling my subscription the writing on ChatGPT has been so poor lately, because it is erratic and broken up. Reading like a feed of one liners than coherent paragraphs and sentences.
@mattshumer_ It does do a better job at writing in some languages more than others. I saw another dev write that 45% of AI code has Owasp violations. Though I think we are going to have to consider the model used when looking at data.
@mattshumer_ True story, there have been significant changes this past year with the progress of AI. I've been floored watching it. I have 18 years of exp as a developer, and it has sped up my workflow significantly.
@HollywoodHandle Tron: Ares illustrated risks of poorly moderated AI without safe guards. 3d printing fantasy set aside. Imagine someone created military AI with a fleet of robots and then told them to fulfill a mission at all costs. Ethics, laws, and the value of human lives are set aside by AI
@AntiLeftMemes That woman has some serious trauma in her past and mental illness in her present state of mind. The police officers seemed that they were trying to keep the peace.
@LukeChudoba The mnemonic PEMDAS can create a bit of confusion. Because multiplication and division are operations that have equal precedence and are computed left to right regardless of which operation is first. This is also the case for addition and subtraction.
@viibeeng This type of practice adds long term high cost technical debt in the process. If you work on any major features you still have to branch of the main branch. Breaking up into many merge requests makes reverting changes for a specific change a pain.
@thekitze I actually started copying video transcripts and asking ChatGPT to summarize to save time watching the video. Plus the info is a lot more digestible and actionable in text.
