@HomeDepot I'm a home service pro with a very active pro account and i do a fair amount of business with HD. Years ago I rented a ladder that ended up damaged. When i went to return it they claimed I didn't have damage protection, even tho i never declined this coverage.

They refused to file a damage waiver claim.
However, this was several years ago and the cost of the total bill was charged off in collections.
These days renting is a mixed bag of sometimes getting manager approval and other times getting told to kick rocks.
