Unpublished photos show the Israeli army using white phosphorus in the town of Al Khiam on March 22, 2026. This is evidence of one of thousands of acts of ecocide committed in Lebanon by the IDF.

White phosphorus munitions are identifiable by the distinctive clouds they produce, usually resembling tentacles as they descend to the ground. Exposure can cause severe injuries, burning deeply through skin and tissue and, in extreme cases, reaching bone. When exposed to oxygen, white phosphorus produces a toxic, highly irritating smoke.

It also wreaks havoc on the environment; white phosphorus is highly reactive and toxic. It can damage ecosystems by scorching vegetation, contaminating soil and water, and leaving hazardous residue that harms wildlife.

That’s funny of them to claim; I’ve been on the ground at the front for almost two years and I’ve seen nothing but ceasefire violations (at least 15,400 violations during the first ceasefire, per UNIFIL). They don’t want peace, they want to occupy the land, and that’s what they have been doing through systematic destruction and murder of civilians.

Israeli forces have been bombing south Lebanon all morning.

Last night, they conducted another massive civilian home and infrastructure detonation in the town of Haddatha. This is an act of genocide.

Genocide is defined under Article Il of the 1948 UN Genocide Convention as any act committed with the intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnical, racial, or religious group. One of the five acts is “deliberately imposing destructive life conditions.”

More than 65 towns and villages in Lebanon are still under Israeli occupation and are undergoing daily illegal civilian home and infrastructure demolition.

Here are photos I took in February of 2025 of Israeli soldiers walking house to house in the town of Yaroun, Lebanon. They were rigging homes with C4 explosives for multiple days in a row; taking the day to rig them and then detonating them in the evening. They flattened several neighborhoods during the period of time.

In the photos you can see IDF soldiers wiring the homes and carrying C4. You can also see a truck transporting a large amount of the explosives.

This was not self defense. Each detonation is an act of genocide.

Hi! Nederlander hier. I have been targeted multiple times by the IDF while reporting on their activities in Lebanon. I have made the Dutch embassy aware each time. I have been shot at as recently as four weeks ago, had a grenade dropped close to me by an Israeli quadcopter and last year I was chased by a Merkava tank while reporting about an illegal IDF base in Houla. Almost all incidents were caught on video. Israeli snipers have shot at me 8 times (I am legally in Lebanon, they are not) Will you wait until they kill me to make a statement about specifically Israel’s murder spree? How many hundreds of us do they have to kill before you hold them accountable? They have killed almost 30 media professionals in Lebanon alone.
