AI and robotics will completely reshape the global economy over the next decade. As automation becomes mainstream, jobs will shift, but they don’t have to shift to the UK. They could, and at current rates will shift offshore.

That means the UK risks not only losing traditional employment but also the future tax base that will fund the state. The companies building AI and robotics will become the new economic engines, the new taxpayers, employers, and exporters.

If we don’t build them in the UK, the tax revenue will flow elsewhere. Winning in AI, robotics, and advanced manufacturing isn’t just about innovation — it’s about national resilience and survival.
