I spent the other weekend at the TCU Mega Camp.

6 sessions.

I was there for every single one.

And the funniest thing happened over and over again.

The camp would end...

...and half the kids walked straight off the field.

Didn't talk to a single coach.

Not one.

These are the same kids who paid to be there.

Drove hours to be there.

Camped in front of coaches from dozens of programs.

And when the whistle blew, they grabbed their bag and left.

I watched it happen all six sessions.

At least half walked off every time.

Want to guess how many talked to multiple coaches?

Maybe 10–20%.

That's it.

Here's why that should make you excited:

The bar to stand out is on the floor.

You don't have to be the most talented kid at the camp.

You just have to be one of the few who walks up, looks a coach in the eye, and says:

"Coach, thank you for the rep. What did you see from me today?"

That's it.

That's the whole edge.

While everyone else is walking to the parking lot, you're starting a conversation a coach actually remembers.

Talent gets you invited.

The bare minimum gets you noticed.

Do the thing nobody else is willing to do.

Even when it's the easy thing.
