โEven Davido himself has now stated that politicians are evil and he won't have anything to do with politics after this one. The only reason he got involved in this one is because his family is involved. They are using Osun State as their jackpot...Politicians are evil including his uncle.โ
- AAC Presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore.
My uncle should be an example to other Governors, that if you work for the people, the people too will work for you.
~ Davido says at press conference in Osun state
โWande Coal has been trying to get my attention and even asked for my number, but I told them not to give it to him. Heโs acting like a baby who needs someone to take care of himโ โ Davido
โIโm not a rapper, so I never cared when people said bad things about my freestyle videos. I even turned one of them into a song, and it became one of my biggest records.โ โ Singer Davido
APC spent money in this election that even billionaire Deji Adeleke, Davidoโs dad, felt the weight of it. And this is what he had to say ๐
โRecord me and play it to him. Let Oyetola hear. And let him know the reason why we defeated him.
The only reason why we defeated Oyetola is not that we are bigger or that we spent more money than him. On election day, we didnโt spend any money.
They spent 60 billion, as we heard. In some places, they bought most votes for as high as โฆ50,000 for a single vote.
On the day of the election, when I heard the kind of money they were spending, I went back to my little corner in my room, and I knelt down and I prayed to God.
I said, โGod Almighty, let people collect their money, but let them still vote for Ademola Adeleke.โ

And I will just want everyone to do my routine. When I need God to pray every day, I have some Bible passages and verses that I read and that I pray with. And this is part of my testimony. The fourth Bible passage that I read every day when I go on my knees to pray is found in Isaiah chapter 41, starting from verse 10. And when I finish reading this, you know that I'm not the reason why I'm not afraid of anything. You know the reason why I am not bothered about anything. Because I believe my belief in God Almighty is very strong. And that's why you don't see me running after people in high places or competing with people to go and visit anyone. I would rather do it in my little corner. I would rather ask God Almighty to help me." Davido's billionaire father opened up about the specific scriptures he prayed with daily during his brother Ademola Adeleke's Osun re-election battle.

I am deeply humbled and grateful to God and the good people of Osun State for the confidence reposed in me to serve for another term.
This victory belongs to the people. I commend your resilience, your courage and your unwavering commitment to democracy. I will not disappoint you.
As we turn the page on the election, I appeal to all Osun people to embrace peace, forgiveness and unity. There is no victor, no vanquished. I extend the olive branch to all my co-contestants. I am the Governor of all.
I also remember, with a minute of silence, the victims of the needless pre-election violence. May their souls rest in peace. I urge our traditional rulers, community leaders and all stakeholders to lead the healing and reconciliation process across our communities.
To the people of Osun, you have entrusted me with another four years. I will reinforce our strong points, correct our shortcomings and build on the progress we have made.
Osun is on the march again. We will accelerate development, widen the net of good governance and continue our journey to transform Osun from a civil service state into an industrial state and a preferred investment destination.
I thank Mr President, His Excellency Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for his support for a free and fair election. I also appreciate all lovers of democracy, at home and abroad, and especially the media for standing firmly with democracy.
